Pepino- El Camino

Pepino El Camino, also known as the sweet cucumber, is a delightful fruiting plant well-suited for growing in a variety of garden positions from the flower garden to vege garden container gardening or even a hanging basket. This hardy plant produces oval-shaped, yellow to green fruits that are sweet and juicy, offering a unique flavour profile reminiscent of a mix between a melon and a cucumber, almost like a rock melon.

Pepino are self fertile and enjoy position in full sun with well drained soil. Fertilise occasionally and water regularly. Protect from frost and prune hard in spring when new growth appears.
