Pepino - Blush

Pepino Blush™ is a variety of Pepino. Pepino are known as the sweet cucumber, they are delightful fruiting plants that are well-suited to growing in hanging baskets, the garden or equally are well suited as a container plant. Pepino Blush produces large oval-shaped, creamy fruit with purple stripes and a rosy blush when ripe. Pepino offer a unique flavour profile reminiscent of a mix between a melon and a cucumber, almost like a rock melon.

Pepino like a position in full sun, with well draining soil. Fertilise occasionally, and keep well watered. Protect from frost, and prune well when the new growth appears in spring. They will begin fruiting from around December onwards. All Pepino are self fertile, but they're so delicious that it wouldn't hurt to have a few plants.
