A native ground cover, Leptinella forms thick mats of fern-like leaves, flowering with small purple blooms. Grows best in partial sun or shade, but will handle sunnier positions too. Leptinella is found most commonly in wetlands and wetland verges, making it perfect for lower foot traffic areas which are very damp. It makes an excellent replacement for grass in spots that are too wet for a lawn, or seasonally sodden. Thrives in poorly drained locations.
